I have now caught up with you. Yes the database is quite large :) many years of people donating and passing on the information they have, many years of road trips looking for graves.

Following a discussion with my partner-in-crime Isandula, and after consulting the McCord Museum website, I have changed the image here. Rather than the bewhiskered figure I thought was Alleyne, James Alleyne is actually the clean-shaven youth above him, with his arms folded.

You seem to have a photo of nearly everyone who fought in SA. How many photos are there in the John Young collection. The photo above is an excellent example.
Would be good to have a copy of the photo, added to his Grave in the grave section of the forum.
