Iklwa
An assegai or assagai is a weapon for throwing or hurling, a light spear or javelin made of wood and pointed with iron, particularly the spear used by the Zulu and other tribes tribes of southern Africa. In addition to the long-handled assegai there is a shorter weapon for use at close quarters.

Assegai.
the Zulu, assegai were generally used as stabbing weapons.

The war shield ought to be tall to cover the owners body it is an oval shape strong and tough that no spear could penetrate through.

Assegai a short stabbing spear makes the warrior to get closer than ever to the enemy,

The Zulus trained for hours at a time testing their skills at arms.
