| Does anyone know how many wives’s Cetewayo had. and what happen to them after his capture. John Dunn as we know had quite a few wives and fathered a lot of kids. Being the King I would imagine Cetewayo had twice as many. So there must be a lot royal blood existing today. |

| John I came across this: After the Battle of Ulundi, Cetewayo became a fugitive. He traveled across Zululand with a small body of retainers, seeking shelter wherever he could but already he found that his support was waning. Eventually he was captured in August 1879 and taken to the Cape as a prisoner with some servants and four of his wives (above). There he was treated well and became something of a celebrity. Cetewayo was shrewd and intelligent. He courted those who could influence his possible return to Zululand. Initially he was housed in apartments in the castle at the Cape but later he was given a farm at Oude Molen. |

| Good point 90th. But we must start at the being. God said let there be light and there was. This then enabled us to see what was written in the Bible. The bible has never been classed as a Newspaper its the book of God. And the contents of the Bible comes from very reliable sources with evidence that can be substantiated even today. The Bible is based on actual accounts not hearsay.
One of my favourite accounts from the Bible, is God said un to Moses, "Come forth and he came 5th and won a teapot.
But the best has to be. After God had created the world, he had as you would expect loads of rubbish left over, he all so noticed that Adam and Eve had produced quite a lot of sub-humans, they were known as the Brainless ones. God in his wisdom gathered up all the Rubbish and Brainless ones and dumped it in one place. This place he called Australia. |

| hi ctsg. I am terribly sorry to inform you that the sub - humans and brainless didnt have the nouse to navigate out the channel let alone make it half way across the world to the land of Oz . . So they decided to stay in England and become sports professionals , and as some would say politicians :lol!: . Which is the only reason you are as terrible at sport and politics , as you have been for such a long period of time :) one example is the porn director running for election , what can one say , except " lights , camera and plenty of in - action :lol!: . I will concede it is possible one of these vessels made it to Oz, more than likely the one which was also carrying those who later turned into politicians . Springbok may also be correct , depending on which way they came , one could have landed at Sth Africa on the way to Oz , or completely missed Oz as the good Capt Cook did once if I am not mistaken . :lol!: . And sailed right on by  . As they say in your primary source " I forgive you as you have no idea what you say " . :lol!: cheers 90th. |

| hi john. Now on a more serious note in regard to Cetswayo's wives , A collegue has informed me that the good king had lots of wives , but only 4 were with him when he was captured as the rest stayed in Zululand . There is a book available entitled " King Mpande"s Children " by Thomas Nzimande , which lists all Mpande"s children and their descendants . These include King Cetswayo"s and other zulu prince"s such as Dabulamanzi , Ndabuko , Shingana etc who also married and had many wives and children , the book comes up to date with their descendants today and as you can well imagine it runs into the 100 's . Hope this helps . cheers 90th. |
