| George Walter Howard Martin, 19 year old Sub-Lieutenant on HMS Shah. Was not a member of the Naval Brigade, but remained on board ship. Awarded medal for Zulu War, but not entitled to Clasp.

| Hi All Dartnell is in the main Folkestone cemetery opposite the large supermarket. HE IS IN THE FAR RIGHT HAND CORNER ABOUT 20 Yds FROM IT A PEDESTAL WITH CROSS. He is not alone in the cemetery, Baker-Russell, Hamilton 2/3, Boldero RN, are all in the cemetery. Remember Percy Barrow is with Martin at Saltwood Churchyard and there is a memorial inside the church. Nearby at Cheriton Church, you have Lewis Hope ASC, w e m Reilly RA And at the MIlitary Graveyard at cheriton near to the military base, Raitt 80th and Doogan VC KDGs. All within about a 10 mile square a good day out. Rai Keynshamlighthorse |

| Well certainly a good day out. Started at 11:30 left at 15:10 unfortunately could not find George Martin’s Grave. Spoke to a church bell ringer, who kindly let me look through the church records. But again no joy. The person who would know is away and will be back next week so I shall pay him a visit to see if he can help.
