I don't think Coote has been brought up on the forum in the past.

John Pemberton Plumtre Coote was a Lieutenant on HMS Tamar during the Zulu War. Entitled to 1877-79 Medal, without clasp.

"Commander John Pemberton Plumptre Coote was born on 15 September 1850.1 He was the son of Rev. Sir Algernon Coote, 11th Bt. and Cecilia Matilda Plumptre. He married Eleanor Agnes Osmaston, daughter of John Osmaston and Emily Sophia Plumptre, on 26 December 1880.1 He died on 10 June 1938 at age 87.
Commander John Pemberton Plumptre Coote gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy."
