"Lt.Colonel G H. A. Kinloch served in the operations against Sekukuni in tho Transvaal in 1878 also throughout the Zulu war of 1879, and was present in the engagements at Zungin Nek, Kambula Hill, and Ulundi (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Burmese Expedition in 1886-87 with the 2nd Battalion Somersetshire Light Infantry (Medal with Clasp))"

Capt G.H.A.Kinloch 1/ 13th Regt , not much else to add to Ray63's post , Capt Kinloch acted as Field Officer during the later phases of the war . 90th
