This post card was Sent to John on 3rd March 1930.

The post card read's

Addressed to
Private John S Jobbins
Late 24th Regiment.

Dear Private Jobbins
Please pardon me for the delay in acknowledging your kind letter of September last, I was very pleased to hear from you personally.
Thank you very much for so kindly giveing me your autograph as requested.
I am very proud to have it. It was very interesting reading about the bible presemted to you as a suivnear of Rouke's Drift. That the good god who presened you in battle fifty years ago may also give you good health and happiness for many year yet to come, is the sincere wish.

I have tryed tracing this lady but with no luck, if anyone can help with any info it would be great.

Page 20 There is a very long letter sent by John to his parents describing the difficult conditions he and others were under while making their way to Helpmaakar and Rorke’s Drift. For copyright reasons I can not post, but I can photocopy the letter and e-mail it to you.

Thankyou but i have all three of the letter's (copy's) that John sent to his parents.
Yes i also have a copy of "The man Behind the medal" John Williams, V.C. a Biography.

I have all info on John like army record's,photo's etc. All the originals are still within my family members.

But thankyou for the offer.
