Hi, Just to say that, I could be wrong, but, judging by a lot of memmber's comments on the Zulu War, it seem's to me that quite a few of you have not actually been out to Zululand. Now, sorry if this sound's a tad rude, but also, a few of you maybe, let's say, not getting any younger! I see member's saying "Oh, I would love to go out to the Battlefields one day", etc, etc. My Dad recently died, and his dream was to explore the Normandy beaches associated with the D-Day Landings. He kept on putting it off, not because he couldn't afford to go, but just didn't get round to actually doing it. My point is, just bloody do it! If it's your dream, then fullfill your dream. Travelling around Zululand can be done extremely cheap. Don't put things off untill it's too late to do anything about it. If your well- off, don't forget, you can't take a penny with you when you peg out!!! Sorry for going on!

It's not so much the cost. Flying scares the life out me. I have only flown once, and I hated every minuite of it a nd that was to Ireland i caught the boat back. So I'm resigned to the fact that I will never see the Zulu War Battlefields.

Runner2. Sorry to hear about the loss of your father. There are many of us that would love to visit the Battlefields, me for one. But with three kids a mortgage and living costs I have to get my priorities right.

I'm just waiting for runner2 to inform us that he's running a bus to SA at a very reasonable rate. There you go Dave, you're now sorted ;-)

Intend to take a holiday in South Africa. Rorke's Drift & Isandlwana will be a part of it maybe on a days excursion.

I don't have a fear of flying. I didn't mean to offend you, apologies if I did. |

Dave. Try taking a plane. It's easier on the arms.
