Major Charles John Greenham He joined the Regiment on the 15th November 1861. He served in Natal during the Zulu Campaign and retired in 1886 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He carried out the duties of Adjutant in the years 1868, 1869, 1871 and 1872

I checked the medal and couldnt find him listed in the 99th Regt . Was he seconded from another Regt ?.

Charles John Greenham did not take part in the Zulu War.

Hi All,
Seems like Charles John Greenham born 13 Sept 1843 Yeovil Dorset, was left at home, as Acting Adjutant 58 Brigade Depot 1 June 1878, he is on the 1881 census at Le Marchant Barracks, Devizes.
He Died 21 Feb 1886 of Fever and was buried on the 23rd at Peshawar India.
Whilst looking at this Cemetery i also found,
John Stevens Guille 99th Zulu War D 8 March 1886.
William Hedges Pvt 99th Zulu War d 6 Feb 1886 of a Gunshot Wound.
Another, John Power age 39 Died 24 Feb 1886 Warrant Officer Sub Conductor Late Sgt 1st Batt Connaught Rangers. buried in Kohat Cemetery. I think the first Batt was the 88th Regt, there are two Privates J Power Nos. 1092 and 1363 on the Zulu War Roll, also two Privates in the 94th J Power Nos. 2343 and 911 on the Roll.
