Does anyone know how many Cartridges the Carbineers and Police carried.
To be able to fight in the Donga and then in the camp i am geussing more then 70 rounds???
Anyone know how many they carried??

Trooper Clarke, NMP, carried 140rds, asdid I think the rest of the NMP. I cannot answer for the NC.

Hi DB14 . Very interesting point , dont think I've come across any specific data that mentions the amount carried by the NMP & NC , or any of the Volunteer Regt's for that matter . Hopefully someone has an answer for us . cheers 90th.

Hi DB and all others, See my post yesterday on a transcription from Tpr Clarke's diaries which categorically states 70 rounds per man.
