With reference to the last stands at the Battle of Isandlwana, would there not be concentrations of tunic buttons etc, all in one place. And why are there cairns marking the spots bodies were found, all over the place all the way back to the river? Who's last stand would have consisted of the larger amount of troops.

Hi

The true "last stand" of the 24 th is the Lieutenant Edgar Anstey.

His body was found surrounded by about 60 british dead on the banks of the Manzimnyama.

Anstey's body was later recovered by his brother, who also served in Zululand, and taken back to the UK.

One of only a very few British dead from the battle who were not buried where they fell.

Cheers

Pascal

Pascal I strongly recommend you read some of the other threads on the forum, you are posting information that has been discussed in-depth in the past. I can see your keen on this subject, but you discussions will amount to nothing if you persist in posting all ready posted information. Idea

Administration.Pour The Last Stand, but in fact, it does not come of the forum, it's Ian Knight, who wrote it and I think he know.

Impi.Merci, but when has that interest me in general about the Zulu wars, can not find it on some forum.Aussi I expect to be helped a lot ...

For example, impossible to find combat statistics on any forum ...

Cheers
