Yes, many thanks for this mate, and Ray is right, I am pleased to see the PROPER name of the regiment in the title, and even more pleased to see that Major-General Marshall named the fort "FORT WARWICK" in honour of the regiment. What a pity that others don't give the public the REAL and PROPER name of the "Noble 24th", and honour it and the fallen lads of its ranks, by giving people its REAL and PROPER name, rather than let them go on believing in a Welsh myth. On many memorials etc, you will see the words,; "Their name liveth for evermore", however, in the case of the 24th (2nd Warwickshire) regiment of foot, it should read "Their name hiddeth for evermore".
