It took 2 days to get from RD to iSandlwana. The distance to the Mangeni is pretty  similar, not as many streams to cross but the dongas were huge. Harkness didnt get there at all on the 22 with his guns, so although the troops could have done it the wagon train wouldnt have.

So LC would really leave the camp with all his troops and ask Dartnell going to meet him!

LC would have been his decisive battle and in much better conditions! Good plan of campaign ,no ?
