| In the past I have received great reviews and advice on the more expensive books. I have had this one on my wish list for a while - but at around £140 it seems dear to me.
Can anyone shine a light on how good it is. I love the way John Dunn is so much a part of the Zulu story - so is this book worth £140
Thanks
Sergio |

| Hiya Sergio, the short answer! it depend's how much you want it in your collection.. i have had mine for many years now. i cant remember how much it cost, but theres £60.00 wrote in pencil on the inside cover ( a practice i detest )
I see it as a must have! his sources are impeccable, all things John Dunn are there.. but i must say £ 140 is a bit steep,i dont know what other people think?. cheers xhosa |

| So £140.00 seems to be the going rate.. i really dont understand book prices at the moment! there up, there down, i think Oliver Walker's, Zulu Royal Feather! ( John Dunn ) is a cracking little book, although a work of fiction..it's packed with biographical details as Dunn's life unfold's. |

| Thanks Xhosa - A work of fiction is sometimmes a good break from the non fiction stuff (unless it is Zulu Hart) I will add it to my wicsh list.
Cheers

| Ha ha, well done Les, very subtle, I spotted it right away. Quote; Sergio, "A work of fiction is sometimes a good break from the non fiction stuff". xhosa2000, "By the way they are showing Zulu on uk channel 4 right now!". I could see the reference to the 'work of fiction' mentioned by Sergio, and this film (although a classic), most definitely fits into the 'work of fiction' mold. Nice one Les, that really made my day. |
