The problem with locking topics, without a little notice, is that you can be caught in the midst of composing quite a long response to CTSG's perfectly proper reply, only to find that it disappears of the face of the earth when you post it!!!!!! I don't intend writing all that again. So apologies CTSG you were entitled to a response and you would have had one. I'm tempted to say something very rude.

| That's what happens when you get members, winding each other up. For my part the reputation of the forum is important, what we don't want, is would be members, seeing nothing but stupid comments and back biting. I don't get any notice when members decide to start having a go at each other. When it cools down, the topic will unlocked. Over the last few weeks I have warned of the consequences if the arguing continued. |

| I sympathise, but it is demoralising to devote some considerable effort to a reply only to see it go up in a puff of smoke. Where there is a serious discussion going on wouldn't it be better to delete rogue posts?

| Okay Steve, I take your point. However to make it clear, not only will the rogue posts be deleted, the members who post rogue posts or what i consider to be a personal attack will be totally excluded from the discussion. The topic has been unlocked.

| Thank you for that. Tomorrow, when my blood pressure has subsided somewhat, I may try again.

I'll send you some of my pills. My GP recommends them, but then she gets a cut from the company.

| Perhaps it would be better, to let the person respond, to whom it is address to. When a post isn't address to an individual, then is a free for all. Just out of courtesy. |

| Hats off there admin, that's so simple, its genius!. it might slow things down a tad, but that could be even better..as it removes the perceived threat of someone feeling under constant ambush!. i wonder what other members feel about your proposal. xhosa |
