| Just to let forum members know that there are plans to erect a new headstone over the unmarked grave of Rorke's Drift Defender Joseph Bromwich 24th Regiment in Bilston Cemetery, Staffordshire.
Joseph's medal was recently sold at auction, and the cost of the new memorial is being met by the seller, buyer and Auction House.
I will keep the forum updated with regard to the rededication event which is likely to be later in the summer.
Regards,
Tim |

| I can't claim credit for this one, I've just been asked to help co-ordinate the re-ded later on in the year.

| Honour to all who served in the AZW on both side's.. i personally side with the Zulu.. I'm glad Bromwich got his marker, a lot of people did not!. maybe i'm missing something.. but reading the rant above i think that a simple apology with corrections would have sufficed. a bit over the top to say the least!.the author comes across like its all about him..it's all about Joseph Bromwich!, cheers xhosa |
