Hi,
As part of my slide show (so I can try to get my head around the battle of Isandlwana - and for something to do while convalescing) I have prepared this map -can someone please check that I have Dyson's potential position and the position of the Right Horn correct.

Regarding your original questions, no-one can say with absolute certainty where Dyson was PRECISELY. From the evidence it can be estimated. As for the right horn, certainly part of the uNokhenke came down the east side of Isandhlwana i.e. the spur.

Hi Julian,
I am also struggling to place where the RA flight was stopped by the 'donga' - I believe the site was excavated some years ago - any ideas of the location?

On your map above, west of Stony Koppie, left of the words 'The Saddle', close to the red dotted line. You can see the 'donga' or gully clearly on your map.
