Capt A.V.O'Brien 3/ 60th Rifles served with the regt during the campaign , including the advance to , and the relief of Etshowe , present at Gingindlovhu , the advance of of Crealock's Divis to Port Durnford , and the second advance on Ulundi . Capt's Cramer and O'Brien performed the duties of Major from the date of assumption of command of batt by Col Tufnell ; the former commanded the two Co's , which acted as escort and guard to the King from the Black Umvolosi to Ulundi . 90th
