2/24th band Empty
PostSubject: 2/24th band   2/24th band EmptyThu Apr 04, 2019 7:26 pm

I recall a soldier's letter describing how when the 2/24th were taken by lighter to land in Durban, it overturned in the surf and the band and all their instruments were absolutely soaked (July 1878).
I cannot for the life of me remember whose letter it was or where I read it. Can anyone remind me please?
Thanks
