Isandlwana Bugle Empty
PostSubject: Isandlwana Bugle   Isandlwana Bugle EmptyWed Jun 09, 2021 2:53 pm

On a recent trip, I documented this lovely old bugle on display at the ENDUMENI/ISANDHLWANA SHELLHOLE in Dundee, KwaZulu-Natal. The tag reads "Bugle recovered from Isandhlwana after the Battle. It was later used by Mr. Matheson, who ran the Dundee Vants Drift postcart, to summon his arrival so that fresh horses could be got ready for the next part of the journey. Presented by his sone Mr. J.R. Matheson.
