I can't find his ship Tom. Any ideas?

There was a Frederick William Daniell who entered the Royal Navy as a Domestic 3rd Class on in 1881, too late to have been in the Zule War. He served aboard HMS Euphrates during the Egypt war and was entitled to the Egypt medal and the Khedives Star.

There was no one with the name Frederick William Daniell aboard any of the ships whose crew were awarded the South Africa Medal for service in 1877, 1878 or 1879.
