| Possibly Naval Brigade as he hints at being a sea faring man, though there is a Buckley in the 1/13 So his son would not get any medals as there was to be no more wars:roll: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Hull Daily Mail - Friday 15 June 1934 |

| Kate,
The only Buckley that I could find on the Royal Navy's medal roll was a John Buckley, an Ordinary Seaman serving aboard HMS Tamar. He was born April 1859 in Cork, Ireland; enlisted in the Royal Navy in March 1875. During the Zulu War Buckley deserted from HMS Tamar at Simon's Bay. He would have been 20 years old at the time.
I don't think he is your man.
