Western Mail - Monday 16 August 1937

Those present were:-
P. Price. I can't find him in Holmes in the 1st or 2nd 24th
Colour Sergeant 2131 James Gittins 2/24th
W. Prosser. There is one Prosser (J) in the 2/24th and two in the 1/24th (J and G) but no W Prosser
Private 1703 W Llewellyn 1/24th named Llewellyan on the medal roll. Transferred to the 2/24th
T. Leonard. Three Leonards in 2/24th (G, J and P) None in the 1/24th
Private 1702 W. Griffiths transferred to the 29th regiment 1879 clasp returned to the mint 17/9/1885

Strange that 3 of them are not in Holme's. I can't imagine them lying about their service and getting away with it at such an event.

I wonder if Chelsea pensioner P. Long was related to Charles Long kia iSandlwana?
There was a J Heggarty who died of disease in SA 1879 clasp
