Duttons has him as W Squibb but there are no other Squibbs in the 2/4th and being such an unusual surname this must be a misprint.

Hi All
Very confused with this one. No Military Records. According to the UK BMDeath Records.
George Henry Squibb dies 1901 Gosport District. His probate gives D.6 April 1901 of 6 Sydney Rd Gosport, to Widow Lucy, have checked the census for this man living Gosport in 1881 unlikely to be our man. There is no George Henry dying in 1944.
William H Squibb dies March Qtr 1944 in Gosport District age 82, so born 1861/62.
William Squibb dies March Qtr 1944 in I O Wight District age 79 so born 1865
William Squibb dies June Qtr 1944 in I O Wight district age 88 so born 1856.
