The death of Lieutenant Frith. Marshall, Drury Lowe, 17th Lancers. Skirmish at Zungeni Mountain

Skirmish at Zungeni Mountain 4/5th June 1879
Was really interesting to go there in May this year with 90th and see the ground and Frith's grave.

There are two men buried alonside Frith. Seems they were two of Col. Buller's men.
In one of his letters Lieut. Commeline writes :-

"Next day , the 5th, another difficult drift cut short our march to six miles. The cavalry burnt several large kraals driving about 200 men out of one of them, who took some thick bush on the side of a hill. Here Col. Buller with his iregulars failed to dislodge them, losing two men, but the cavalry, burning to do something placed themselves within range of the Zulus and lost their adjutant, Frith, who fell shot through the heart"

Yes I remember reading that piece about the 2 others in the Commeline letters while in SA , think I may've even posted it here or on Ian's Group page after returning home ? , someone replied and mentioned three names of who they may've / could've been ? .
