| I have selected, five Books that I think would be beneficial, to get a better understanding of the Zulu War. The problem is I can only choose one (Christmas Present) which one would the members of this forum recommend. It must only be one of the five selected, as I have read most of the book reviews, so I won’t be changing my mind. Your help would be appreciated. The one with the most votes will be the one I choose. Thanks in advance. |

| Hi Dave . I am not aware of your financial status but some of those books can I think be obtained fairly cheaply if you dig around . My Copy of Zulu Rising hasnt arrived as yet . But from what I have read on the RDVC Forum and here , as well as reviews in other areas , it would be the one as it is the latest written on Isandlwana and RD and by reports it will become the definitive work on that subject . Of the 5 books you have in your survey , only Brave Men's Blood deals with all the aspects of the war . It basically comes down to what area of the war you wish to learn about . Contact me by the pm service if you want me to dig around for you concerning prices of your said books . Sometimes you can get free postage if you are in the UK , or much cheaper than it is to send here to Australia . Hope this helps . . cheers 90th. |
