drift - Rorke's drift after the battle? Empty
PostSubject: Rorke's drift after the battle?   drift - Rorke's drift after the battle? EmptyTue Mar 29, 2011 3:46 pm

I found this photo on my browsing travels and was astonished by the title of it, suggesting it was taken soon after the fighting.
I've seen the one with the company lying and sitting in coats and glengarrys and I have my doubts on that being at RD, this one is different though.
The men are standing around in no particular order and certainly look shabby, one is holding what appears to be a knobkerrie, clearing the area of arms?

There is nothing on the site to aid further investigation as far as my limited skills allow.

Somebody out there must know, Is this real?

This photo is on the forum in another thread, I think it's to do with the site where the Prince Imperial was killed.

Hi 24th.
You may be right as the area does look similar to where the Prince was found , If anyone has a copy of '' With His Face To The Foe''
it may be in there .
cheers 90th.

Thanks for the replies, I figured if it was RD, it would have been more widely published.

Good to know.
