 | Subject: Was it colour sergeant Keane that was found? Sat Feb 18, 2012 12:44 pm | |
| Hi all I have been searching on the forum for any news about the identity of the body found at Isandlwana with the button of the general staff corps. It was thought at first that the body was of colour sergeant M.C. Keane, however, some doubts about this arose, and further research was needed. Does anyone know if there has been any developement regarding this, and if this unfortunate fellow has been identified yet? Martin. |

| Hi all
Mr M. Cooper
Logic would dictate that it was Col. Sergt. Keane. However to declare this officially they have to take DNA samples from a living descendant or near relative. As yet they have not yet confirmed any descendant. That’s as far as I know!...
