This has probably been discussed, but in McKinnon and shadbolt it mentions his body Being recognised when the 2nd battalion returned From mangeni. Has this ever been confirmed?

As far as i remember i've not heard anything about Cavaye's body being found would be really interesting to know if it was and where on the field.

Yes Jackson author of "HILL OF THE SPHINX" mentions the body being found but doesn't know by whom :S
