| Lt Reginald William Franklin died at Helpmakaar on the 20th Feb 1879 , was present at the storming of Sihayo's Kraal , on the 22nd was absent from Isandlwana as he was with Chelmesford . After returning to the camp the night of the massacre , Franklin was attacked by Fever a fortnight later , and was removed to Helpmakaar in the hope that a change and a purer atmosphere might restore him . Unfortunately it didnt help . . I couldnt find Gentleman Cadet , Anderson Lindsay Kelly or Percy Knight Hale Coke in Mack & Shad , so it seems they werent sent to South Africa for service in the zulu war ? . Cheers 90th |
