F.J. Drew (ex-17th Lancers, Zulu Wars), and his wife Mary Anne Florence Drew. Believed to be in the garden of Ernest Grove, near to where she was later killed.

Yes he is listed on the Medal Roll with 1879 Clasp to Medal.
So Yes to taking part in the Zulu War.

Hello there,
This is my great-great grandfather and I posted the picture on WW2 Talk.com. My nan (his granddaughter), would tell me what little she knew about his experiences.

Frederick Drew 17 Lcrs attested 5 May 1876 age 18 born Clontarf Dublin Ireland, N o Kin Mother Jane Dublin. No.1896 to 17 Lcrs to S Africa 25 Feb 1879, Natal 6 April 1879, to India HMTS Crocodile 8 Oct 79 arriving Bombay 29 Oct 79. Discharged 5 May 1888 at Canterbury 12 yrs.

Thanks a lot John. I don't think I found where he was buried. Can I ask where you found this information?
It makes sense as he was living in Beckenham when he died. His wife was killed in the Blitz in 1940 and is also buried in Beckenham.
